Do you want to be a popular person? The Customer Service – Delivery position at Rashida Sawyer Bakery delivers smiles to our wonderful customers!

The person in this role likes to work independently yet desires to provide the best delivery service imaginable. While not out on delivery, you will work with a fun staff, helping out with any duties you can.

…but when that “DING” comes, it is time to deliver… and did we mention TIPS????

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (80%):

  • Deliver orders to our customers in a timely manner.
  • Answers phones and takes accurate orders or answers questions.
  • Prepares take out/delivery orders.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES (20%):

  • Remains acutely aware of RSB offerings, sales, promotions, and stock items.
  • Keep front-end and customer facing areas clean and neat.
  • Suggest items when appropriate (upselling experience) and anticipate customer needs.
  • Minor food prep: toppings on cakes, fruit cutting and arrangement, wrapping and boxing.
  • Ability to receive and prepare orders using software.
  • Ability to remain calm in a high pressure, fast moving atmosphere.
  • Maintain a cleanliness in all customer-facing areas including display cases.
  • Cut slices and keep display cases looking full and so good that our customers cannot look away.
  • Assists with box assembly.
  • Dispose of garbage and recycling on the sales floor.
  • Cross-trained in organization of inventory and supplies.
  • Assist with set up and tear down on site or at an event location if needed.
  • All positions at RSB are cross-trained to assist on the sales floor. As such, a tidy, approachable, and professional appearance is required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Reliable vehicle required. RSB will provide supplemental insurance.
  • Must possess a good driving record.
  • High School Diploma and/or GED preferred but not required.
  • No prior experience necessary. However, the applicant must have a strong and demonstrated desire to learn and follow strict guidelines.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred but not required (training will be provided).
  • Experience with food safety rules or food safety coursework preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 25-50lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for entirety of shift, except for mandated breaks. (Cushioned floor supports will be provided as needed)
  • Must be comfortable bending, climbing, reaching, stooping, and moving quickly.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English is required.
  • Must be dependable, reliable, and able follow instructions while maintaining pleasant demeanor.
  • Ability to adhere to RSB dress code and personal grooming standards is required.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations is required.
  • Ability to work the mid-Afternoon shift to evening shifts, weekends, and holidays is required.
